Nic discovered climbing while on a school retreat in 6th grade, fell in love, and never looked back. His soft spoken nature belies a thoughtful yet powerful climbing style. Nic not only crushes boulders, he also crushes algorithms as a research scientist at his “day job”. A mathematician’s mind gives him a unique view of the world and climbing.
Nic’s climbing time is mostly spent around the Fort Collins area and training on his homewall. A perfect day for Nic includes a boulder on the edge of civilization, sending the rig with buddies, then sitting on the hitch of his truck with some good food. He dreams of visiting Rocklands.
Away from the rocks Nic loves playing chess and tinkering.
