It was a rainy Sunday in 2012 and he couldn’t go to the beach. Hank Gaylord walked into Rockreation in West L.A. and didn’t realize it would be a turning point in his life.

Fast forward to today, and Hank has an enviable ticklist up to V13 on boulders across the Colorado Front Range and beyond. His perfect day out climbing is in the alpine with good weather and good crew, maybe sending, maybe not.

Hank also loves competitions, and has qualified for USAC Nationals in bouldering and sport. While at school he has helped organize the CU Climbing Team and serves as the president during his senior year.
