Allyx is a very driven climber always striving to improve. Always wearing a smile, you can tell that she genuinely loves climbing. She got started climbing indoors in her early twenties in New York City, began climbing outdoors at The Gunks, and eventually moved west to Portland, OR.

Allyx made a big jump recently when she took the job of Rock Gym Director at the Nike Rock Gym. In addition to managing, she also sets routes, and is working towards her SPI certification.

For a quick fix Allyx heads out to Carver, a local bouldering zone with easy access and lots of lowballs. While bouldering is her favorite climbing game, she also enjoys trad, and loves steep, technical problems with crimps. Allyx would love to someday visit Rocklands, South Africa.

Outside of climbing she designs and makes her own clothes, cooks and bakes vegetarian, and does ceramic work. She’s been a pianist since childhood with a focus on jazz.
